      Quil uses a unique VoIP service that allows you to use your existing phone number without needing to port it from your current carrier. This streamlined approach simplifies the setup process and enhances ease of use. Instead of porting, Quil registers your phone number as a caller ID within its system. To enable this feature, verification is required, which most users complete during the onboarding process.

      Understanding Modern Spam Filters

      Spam and robocalls are a growing concern for telecommunication providers, and many have implemented advanced spam filters to combat them. These filters sometimes target the same telecom functionalities that Quil relies on to facilitate calls. As a result, your Quil caller ID may occasionally be blocked by the recipient’s telecom provider or flagged as potential spam on the recipient’s device.

      Recommended Steps to Combat Spam Filtering

      To minimize the chances of your Quil caller ID being blocked or marked as spam, we recommend registering your business phone number with Hiya (Internationally) or The Free Caller Registry (US only) . This simple process takes just a few minutes and involves the following steps:

      1. Visit the Hiya website
      2. Sign up to a FREE account
      3. Register your phone numbers
      4. Once verified, the registry will send confirmation to all major telecom providers. It may take up to a month to see analytics on your Hiya dashboard.

      Free Caller Registry

      1. Visit the Free Caller Registry website.
      2. Submit your phone number for verification.
      3. Once verified, the registry will send confirmation to all major telecom providers.

      In most cases, this registration is sufficient to ensure your calls are recognized as legitimate and not filtered as spam.
